About

The Maryland Data Centers Analysis Group (DCAG-MD) was organized to conduct research on pressing data center topics. Based out of Frederick County, Maryland, DCAG-MD takes the lessons learned from Frederick County and seeks to disseminate information to other counties across the State that are facing similar challenges. Our approach is to identify gaps in knowledge from the evolving Frederick situation and provide well-researched and sourced data (even from outside Maryland); abstract it and make it available to the public, local decision-makers, industry, and others for use in policy formulation, research, and analysis. Our approach is simple--Better Data leads to Better Decisions.

We are managed by an editorial board composed of the three founders. Also, we have affiliated organizations and individuals who have an active interest in data center developments and receive our materials on an advanced basis.

As an all-volunteer organization, we are always looking for volunteers/interns who can assist us with research, database development, social media and website support. We welcome all inquiries to mdanalysisgroup@gmail.com.

What is the Maryland Data Centers Analysis Group (DCAG-MD)?

We are a volunteer organization dedicated to disseminating verified and well-sourced information on data centers—the changing technology, the policies surrounding them, and the business climate—to local governments, the public, and other interested parties.

The primary focus is to compile data on developments in counties across the State of Maryland and to place this information in the larger context of actions happening locally, nationally, and internationally (especially with regard to technological advancement).
