Faith Klareich

Faith Klareich, Founder/Board Member has a background in technology management and deployment and has worked for over 40 years in the research, development and deployment of clean energy technologies, assisting Fortune 500 firms, utility commissions, National Laboratories, Federal, State and local governments in sustainable, climate-focused programs.

She has served on the Frederick County Sustainability Commission as Chair for two years out of her six-year tenure and was appointed to the Frederick Data Center Working Group. Recently, she joined the Board of Envision Frederick. Ms. Klareich also participates in a number of other community service organizations including the Brunswick Green Team, Parkside Condominium's (Bethesda, MD) Energy and Utility Committee, and the Maryland Clean Energy Center's Advisory Council.

Prior to living in Frederick, she chaired the Environment Commission of the City of Rockville where under her leadership the Commission received a Presidential Volunteer Service Award sponsored by the US Environmental Protection Agency. She also served as Chair of the nonprofit Board of Story Tapestries, an organization integrating art to benefit the lives of children and adults in their communities. Ms. Klareich holds a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University and completed graduate coursework in technology and modernization at the University of Denver's Graduate School of International Studies. During her graduate work, she served as a Graduate Fellow in the intelligence community.

Elizabeth Bauer

Elizabeth Bauer, Founder/Board Member has worked in Human Resources for over 30 years. During her career, she was the Director of Human Resources for a government contractor responsible for HR policies and procedures, performance management and compensation systems, workforce development and training, and more. Since retiring she has been a community activist and a founding Board Member and Chair of Envision Frederick County, a fifteen-year-old non-profit, non-partisan organization focusing on informed public discourse and active community engagement across a range of local issues.

Her recent focus has been combatting the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project (MPRP) and working to ensure sustainably based data center growth in Frederick County. She is a founding member of the Maryland Data Centers Analysis Group and serves on the Editorial Board. She is a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Certified Trainer in Leadership and Teamwork, PAR Skills.

Steve Black

Steve Black, Founder/Board Member has served as President of the Sugarloaf Alliance since 2021. The Alliance works to conserve and protect the rural character and environmental quality of the Sugarloaf region in southern Frederick County Maryland.

Mr. Black grew up in a farming family in central Ohio. He received his Bachelor's degree from Carnegie-Mellon University, a Master's degree from University of Pittsburgh, and was a Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government.

He is the owner and operator of a wholesale tree nursery in Adamstown Maryland.
